About Kathleen

Kathleen has practised predominantly in insurance defence since joining Chatwin LLP in 2009, developing expertise in personal injury, construction, product liability, and insurance coverage litigation. She has appeared at all levels of court in Alberta, with extensive appearances in the Provincial Court of Alberta and the Court of Queen's Bench, and has resolved hundreds of insurance defence files, primarily through negotiated settlements, along with numerous Judicial Dispute Resolutions, mediations, and trials. She has also run files in British Columbia and Saskatchewan and has extensive experience dealing with self-represented litigants. She is a 2008 University of Alberta Faculty of Law graduate, having earlier completed a Bachelor of Arts with First Class Distinction at the University of British Columbia, and is a member of the Canadian Bar Association's litigation and insurance sections.
