About Katarina

Katarina Shaw joined Waldman & Associates LLP as an articling student in August 2024 and has worked as an associate since her call to the Ontario bar in June 2025. She earned her Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2024 and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Classical Studies from the University of British Columbia in 2021. Her practice involves assisting clients with refugee and immigration matters before the Immigration and Refugee Board and the Federal Court, as well as applications to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, including cases involving detention, inadmissibility and exclusion from refugee status; she particularly enjoys family reunification files. During law school she worked at WazanaLaw, an immigration and refugee firm, and served as a student caseworker at the Barbra Schlifer Commemorative Clinic. Katarina speaks English and German.
