About Alexander

Alexander Turner is managing partner at Bales Beall LLP, advising clients on both sides of estate and family law disputes. He regularly serves as lead counsel in trials and applications before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Court of Appeal, handling will challenges, estate interpretation disputes, dependant's relief claims, and guardianship proceedings under the Substitute Decisions Act, including complex estates involving unusual assets. In family law, he handles property and support disputes, including cases that intersect with trust and estate matters. He also advises trustees and beneficiaries on difficult probate and estate asset questions, including matters involving property outside Ontario. Alex earned his J.D. from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University in 2012 and was called to the bar in Ontario in 2013 and in New York in 2015.
