About Karl

As a partner in the Business Law Group, Karl brings varied expertise, with mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructurings forming the core of his work. He also helps clients with private equity offerings and capital raises, and has advised both borrowers and lenders on secured financing deals. More recently, joint ventures structured as limited partnerships in real estate have become an important part of his practice. Entrepreneurial by nature and drawn to emerging industries, he is building a practice focused on startups and high-growth companies as they navigate launching and scaling their businesses. His aim is to give clients practical guidance early on regarding formation, founder and shareholder structure, and early-stage capital raises and securities compliance. He notes that clients are often struck by how many important decisions arise early in the process that shape how a business will scale, and he values being at a full-service firm that gives him access to colleagues in IP, privacy, and employment law. Karl is also active on Foglers' Associates Committee and Student Recruitment Committee.
