About Karen

Karen Segal joined Allevato Quail & Associates in 2021 after working as in-house counsel at a provincial union and as a staff lawyer with a national feminist non-profit. Karen Segal's practice covers labour law, defamation, human rights, and administrative law, with courtroom experience up to the Supreme Court of Canada and the Ontario Court of Appeal, plus administrative tribunal appearances. Karen Segal holds a law degree from the University of British Columbia, where several awards were received in labour relations, constitutional law, and advocacy.
