About Kamil

Kamil Podleszanski is a partner in Beard Winter's Insurance Litigation group. He worked as in-house counsel for one of Canada's largest insurers before entering private practice, and he also spent time at a plaintiff-side civil litigation firm, giving him perspective on both sides of insurance disputes. His practice covers third-party tort claims, statutory accident benefit claims, occupiers' liability claims, priority disputes and loss transfer matters, and he regularly appears before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Licence Appeal Tribunal. Kamil earned his J.D. from Western University in 2015, where he represented the school at the Laskin Moot, and holds a B.A. (Hons) from the University of Guelph. He was called to the Ontario bar in 2016, worked as a caseworker providing pro bono services at Community Legal Services, and completed Osgoode Hall's Intensive Trial Advocacy Workshop in 2021.
