About Josiah

Josiah Chan is a lawyer in OMH's litigation group, which he joined after completing his articles with the firm. He earned an Honours BA in sociology and management from the University of Toronto in 2018 before pursuing his Juris Doctor at the City University of Hong Kong, graduating with credit in 2022. While in Hong Kong he became an accredited commercial and civil mediator through Hunt ADR, and he gained early experience through internships covering personal injury, matrimonial law, conveyancing, and probate litigation. Josiah also competed in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna, where his team reached the top 16 out of 364 and earned an honourable mention for best team orals. He is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, and was called to the Ontario bar in 2026. He continues to volunteer as a Pearson Scholarship Assessor for the University of Toronto.
