John McLuckie is originally from Bellshill, near Glasgow, Scotland, and is a graduate of the University of Ottawa and the University of Waterloo. He was called to the Ontario Bar in February 2001 and joined the firm in 2000, specializing in labour and employment law for municipal and public sector unions in Ottawa and the Greater Toronto Area. A former paramedic with the Canadian Forces, he has developed particular expertise representing paramedics and transit employees, and speaks annually at CUPE's Ambulance Committee Conference. He has appeared before the Ontario and Canada Human Rights Tribunals, the Ontario Labour Relations Board, and the Canada Industrial Relations Board, and also handles wrongful dismissal, discrimination, and long-term disability matters.
