About Jock
Jock Climie is a partner at Emond Harnden who began his legal career with the Department of Justice as a criminal prosecutor and labour litigator, joining Emond Harnden in 2000. He has an extensive litigation practice, having conducted hearings before federal, Ontario, British Columbia, Nunavut, and Quebec courts, the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board, the Federal Public Sector Labour Relations and Employment Board, the Human Rights Tribunal, and numerous arbitrations and judicial reviews. Fluently bilingual, he advises clients in the private, public, municipal, education, and not-for-profit sectors on all aspects of labour and employment law. Before his legal career, Jock played 12 seasons in the CFL with the Montreal Alouettes, Ottawa Rough Riders, and Toronto Argonauts, attending law school in the off-season and graduating from Queen's University Law School in 1994. He was subsequently called to the bars of Ontario, British Columbia, and Nunavut, and later spent 17 years as an on-air CFL analyst for TSN.
