About Jim

Jim Wu has practised exclusively in employment law since 2018, first in his own solo practice and with Forte Law since 2019, and has run as many as five trials in a single year. Before law school, he worked as an Employment Insurance adjudicator, deciding thousands of EI claims, which now informs his advice on EI matters and appeals. He received the George McAllister Prize in Torts for the highest mark in Tort Law. He is on the board of directors for the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers and the Parkinson's Society of British Columbia, and mentors for Big Brothers of the Lower Mainland. He offers services in Mandarin and Shanghainese in addition to English.
