About Jim

Jim co-founded MT+Co. with Rob Miller in 2009, after decades as a partner at a national law firm, and is now retired from active practice. He advised businesses in forestry, energy, and other sectors on environmental and commercial disputes, industrial facility transactions, and clean energy regulatory processes. A Rhodes Scholar, he holds an MA in Law from Oxford University and an LLB from Dalhousie University, and was named Best Lawyers' 2015 Vancouver Environmental Law "Lawyer of the Year."
