About Jim

Jim LeBer is a partner at Advocates LLP with more than four decades of experience in construction law. LeBer earned a BSc with Honours in Biology from Queen's University in 1980 and an LLB from the University of Western Ontario in 1983, and holds the Law Society of Ontario's Certified Specialist designation in Construction Law, held for more than 20 years. LeBer completed mediation training through CDR Associates in Boulder, Colorado, the Advocates Society in Toronto, and OIMA in Toronto in 1993, and has resolved disputes across geotechnical, structural, and vertical construction projects. LeBer served 19 years on the Board of the London and District Construction Association and has been recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada for 20 years and by the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory.
