About Jessica
Jessica co-founded Touchstone Legal with Jamie Angus in 2019 and focuses her practice on estate and trust planning, incapacity planning, elder law, guardianship and representation applications, and probate administration. She develops estate plans ranging from simple to complex, with an emphasis on planning for incapacity as well as death, often incorporating trusts and addressing general tax implications. Jessica is a member of the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society, the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Halifax Estate Planning Council, and is ranked in the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory and Best Lawyers. She is a past president of the CBA Nova Scotia Branch and past chair of the CBA National and Nova Scotia Elder Law Sections, and currently chairs the STEP Atlantic Branch while sitting on the STEP Canada national board. Jessica is a frequent speaker on estate planning and a repeat guest on CBC Maritime Noon.
