About Tanya
Tanya's practice focuses on private client work in estates and trusts, including probate, administration, and estate litigation, advising executors, trustees, representatives, guardians, and attorneys under powers of attorney or personal directives. She represents clients in contested estate litigation, including will challenges, passing of accounts, fiduciary litigation, will interpretation, and dependants' relief claims. Tanya holds the TEP designation from the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and is past chair of the CBA Nova Scotia Wills, Estates & Trusts Section. She studied English literature at Acadia University and Queen's University before earning her law degree at the University of New Brunswick, and is from the Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia. She sits on an ad hoc bench and bar liaison committee focused on improving estate litigation court procedures in Nova Scotia.
