About Jessica

Jessica Lalancette graduated from the Université Laval Faculty of Law in 2019 and completed her professional training at the École du Barreau in 2020. She then articled as a judicial law clerk to the Honourable Simon Ruel at the Québec Court of Appeal, leading to her admission to the bar in 2021. In 2022, after working as a research lawyer at the Court of Appeal, she spent two years as a criminal lawyer at the Montréal firm Battista Turcot Israël, gaining broad experience with the criminal and penal justice system. She returned to the Québec City region in 2024 to join Dubé Gravel Avocats, having previously worked with Caroline Gravel as a law student. Jessica Lalancette's practice is oriented toward legal research and the drafting of legal opinions and procedures in criminal, penal and disciplinary matters, and she also drafts appellate motions and factums, offering research and writing services to individual clients as well as to other criminal defence lawyers. She is a member of the AADQ and the AQAAD.
