Administrative & Regulatory LawSophie Dubé has practiced criminal and penal law since her admission to the Barreau in 2003, representing individuals, including adolescents and adults, as well as companies, before Quebec's criminal and penal courts at both first instance and on appeal, including before the Supreme Court of Canada. Known for her research and writing, she regularly produces motions, legal opinions and appellate factums, and her practice has expanded into related areas such as commissions of inquiry and professional deontology and disciplinary law, advising people facing an investigation by their professional syndic or a disciplinary complaint before their professional order. Sophie Dubé has served on the Barreau du Québec's criminal law expert group since 2016 and on several Barreau de Québec liaison committees with the Court of Appeal, the Superior Court, the Court of Québec's criminal chamber, and the municipal courts, and currently chairs one of these committees. She received the AQAAD's 2023 career achievement award and its 2014 Prix Excellence, and is a member of the Association des avocats de la défense de Québec (AADQ) and the Association québécoise des avocats et avocates de la défense (AQAAD).
