About Jess
Jess Stewart is a lawyer and partner at Virani Law who joined the firm in January 2018 and became a partner in 2022. She earned a Bachelor of Arts Honours Specialization in Criminology with a major in Sociology from the University of Western Ontario, then a Juris Doctor cum laude from Michigan State University College of Law, and was admitted to the Washington State Bar in 2014, practising public interest law in Seattle. She returned to Canada, earned a second Juris Doctor from the University of Western Ontario, and was called to the Ontario Bar in June 2017 after articling at a plaintiff-side civil litigation firm. Stewart has appeared before the Superior Court of Justice of Ontario and is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, and holds a non-practising membership with the Washington State Bar Association.
