About Jennifer

Jennifer advises employers on labour and employment, human rights, and occupational health and safety matters, including workplace safety, policy development, employment contracts, terminations, workplace investigations, and legislative compliance. She has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court and Small Claims Court, the Nova Scotia Supreme Court and Court of Appeal, the Nova Scotia Labour Board, Human Rights Commission, and Utility and Review Board. Her professional regulation work grew naturally out of her labour and employment practice. Jennifer earned her J.D. from the University of New Brunswick in 2017 and was called to the Nova Scotia bar in 2018 and the Ontario bar in 2024. She is vice chair of the Canadian Bar Association's Constitutional and Human Rights Law Section (Nova Scotia branch) and a member of McInnes Cooper's Promotion of Women committee.
