About Jennifer
Jennifer Blanchard is a senior litigator with a broad range of experience inside and outside the courtroom, having represented clients at all levels of Alberta's courts as well as in mediations and arbitrations. Before joining Wilson Laycraft in 2026, she worked for a large international firm, a specialized boutique firm, and as in-house litigation counsel, and her practice has included real estate disputes, mortgage fraud and foreclosure, debt collection, insolvency, construction, landlord-tenant, corporate, and insurance litigation. Jennifer has frequently served as counsel for other lawyers in professional negligence claims, and has developed strategies for cost-effective resolution of high-conflict litigation and disputes involving self-represented parties. She has served as chair of the CBA Southern Alberta foreclosure law subsection and volunteers with Student Legal Assistance at the University of Calgary. She earned her Bachelor of Journalism (Honours) from the University of King's College in 2001 and her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Calgary in 2008, and was called to the Alberta bar in 2009.
