Jeffrey Scouten has represented individual and corporate clients over a career spanning four decades, primarily as a trial lawyer with a focus on commercial litigation, shareholder and partnership disputes, real estate litigation, administrative law and representing professionals in regulatory and discipline matters. He has appeared before all levels of court in British Columbia, the Federal Court of Canada, and professional discipline bodies including the BCFSA and the Law Society of British Columbia. He has led the BC Continuing Legal Education Society's Winning Skills Trial Advocacy Workshop for over 20 years and served on the Editorial Board for CLEBC's Civil Trial Handbook. He was a director, later chair, of the BC Public Interest Advocacy Centre and a governor of the Law Foundation of BC, and received the Canadian Bar Association's Centennial Medal in 1997.
