About Jean-Pierre
Jean-Pierre Baldassare is a partner in DWF's Montréal office with thirty years of experience litigating before the Superior Court and the Court of Appeal of Quebec. He acts mainly for insurers, regularly defending insureds in professional liability disputes involving chartered professional accountants, trustees in bankruptcy, and financial planners, and he also maintains a municipal and commercial general liability practice. His mandates have included defending accountants accused of misleading investors or missing tax credit filings, representing trustees in bankruptcy sued over the continuation of a bankrupt's business, and defending municipalities and city councillors in liability and defamation claims. Baldassare practises in both French and English. He earned his LL.L. from the Université de Sherbrooke in 1988 and was called to the Quebec Bar in 1990.
