About Jaskaran

Jaskaran Sandhu is the managing partner and co-founder of Tidal Law, based in Calgary. He previously practised at a full-service firm in Mississauga, Ontario, working as a barrister on criminal law and civil litigation matters and advising businesses on corporate, commercial and government relations issues. He has extensive real estate experience, working with builders and developers on land acquisitions, joint ventures, financing arrangements and municipal approvals. Jaskaran previously served as Senior Advisor to Brampton's Office of the Mayor, Executive Director of the World Sikh Organization of Canada, and a Senior Consultant at an international public affairs agency. He is a frequent commentator on current affairs for outlets including CTV, CBC, CNN and the BBC, with op-eds published in the Washington Post and the Toronto Star. He earned his Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy from the University of Toronto in 2008 and his Juris Doctor from the University of Windsor in 2011.
