About Whitney
Whitney Manfro is a lawyer in Taylor Janis's Calgary office providing strategic counsel to employers and employees exclusively in employment law, human resources law, and human rights law. She has represented national corporations, start-ups, senior executives, and individual employees in wrongful dismissal matters, restrictive covenant disputes, Canada Labour Code proceedings, and human rights complaints. Before joining Taylor Janis, Whitney practiced with two employment law firms in Toronto, worked for the Competition Bureau in Calgary during law school, and conducted policy research for a Member of Parliament. She studied Business Administration with a concentration in finance as an undergraduate, was admitted early to the University of Windsor's law program and graduated in 2011, and was called to the Ontario bar in 2013 and the Alberta bar in 2020. She has written for the Globe and Mail and the Dismissal and Employment Law Digest.
