About Jared

Jared Craig is a criminal defence lawyer at Craig Hooker Shiskin in Calgary. He graduated with high distinction, as a gold medalist, from the University of Saskatchewan's Juris Doctor program, and clerked for the Chief Justice of the Saskatchewan Court of Appeal. He was called to the bars of Saskatchewan and Alberta in 2014 and has represented clients across all levels of the Alberta court system, including high-profile cases such as homicide, as well as before the Supreme Court of Canada. Jared also lectures at the University of Calgary and completed a Ph.D. examining the interplay of neuroscience, law and ethics, work recognized with an SSHRC fellowship and published in academic journals. He is involved in human rights initiatives as part of his practice.
