About Harwinder

Harwinder K. Johal is a Barrister and Solicitor and Notary at Virtual Law Group, dual qualified as a member of the Law Society of Alberta and the Solicitors Regulatory Authority of England and Wales. She earned her LLB from the University of Huddersfield in 1997 and later completed a Legal Practice Course Diploma and a Masters in Criminal Justice Studies from the University of Leeds. Harwinder practised as an Associate and Head of the Immigration Department at Owen White and Catlin Solicitors in West London before opening her own OISC-regulated law practice in England in 2009, which she led until 2019. She then focused on Canada's National Committee on Accreditation program and admission to the Alberta Bar. With over 20 years of experience, her practice covers immigration, wills and probate, personal injury, family law, business law and real estate. She is a member of the Association of Women Lawyers and the Canadian Bar Association.
