About Jamil

Jamil Sawani is a criminal lawyer at Chadi & Ibrahim LLP whose practice covers criminal and quasi-criminal litigation, civil forfeiture proceedings, and certain civil and corporate litigation matters. He was called to the bar and became a member of the Law Society of Alberta in 2011 after receiving his Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta in 2010. Before law school he earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Toronto, and he later completed a Master of Laws in International Corporate Commercial Law at King's College London. With over a decade of trial experience, he has argued cases before all levels of court in Alberta and other provinces, and he received his Qualified Mediator designation from the Alternative Dispute Resolution Association for Alberta in 2018.
