James W. Hinton
James Hinton is the founder of Own Innovation and an intellectual property lawyer who's also registered as a patent and trademark agent before the Canadian IP Office. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering from McMaster University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto, and he worked in heavy truck manufacturing and fibreglass project management before law school. He's an assistant professor at Western University, teaching IP to engineers, and a fellow at the Centre for International Governance Innovation and the Balsillie School of International Affairs.
