About James

James Giacomantonio practises criminal and regulatory defence, representing clients in white-collar, violent-crime, drug and sexual-offence matters at trial and on appeal, including before the Supreme Court of Canada. He served as a Crown Attorney from 2009 to 2018 and is a past president of the Nova Scotia Crown Attorneys' Association and a member of the Nova Scotia Criminal Lawyers' Association. He has taught at Dalhousie's Schulich School of Law and lectured on criminal law topics, and he maintains a litigation practice across Atlantic Canada.
