About Steve
Steve Degen graduated from Dalhousie Law School in 2010 and was called to the bar in Newfoundland and Labrador in 2011. He worked as a Crown Attorney for a decade, first in Alberta and then, from 2017, with Nova Scotia's Public Prosecution Service, before moving into criminal defence work in 2023. His practice is limited to defending Criminal Code and related regulatory charges, including complex homicide matters, and he has appeared at every level of court in Nova Scotia. He has instructed at Dalhousie's Schulich School of Law since 2021 and belongs to the Nova Scotia Criminal Lawyers' Association.
