About James

James Easto is counsel at Keel Cottrelle LLP with a varied commercial, estates, and real estate practice. Jim advises clients on commercial contracts and supply chain arrangements, acts on acquisitions, reorganizations, and divestitures, represents both borrowers and lenders in lending transactions, and assists with estate planning and administration. Jim also acts for boards of education on the planning, acquisition, construction, and financing of capital facilities. Jim practised at a large firm before joining Keel Cottrelle in 1987 and was called to the Ontario bar in 1979, holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Arts from Queen's University, and is a past president of The Lawyers Club and past chair of the Canadian Bar Association's Education Law section in Ontario.
