About James

James Blackwood grew up in small-town Alberta and has lived on Vancouver Island since 2015. He began his post-secondary studies at Vancouver Island University in 2019, completing a Bachelor of Arts in Political Studies and Philosophy in 2021, then entered the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia in 2022, completing his law degree in 2024. During law school he volunteered and worked in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside, as a legal clinician with the PACE Society and as a temporary articling student with the Indigenous Community Legal Clinic. He practises family law, estate litigation, and general civil litigation.
