About J.

J. Scott MacKenzie, KC is counsel and a strategic advisor with Key Murray Law, focusing on energy, planning, and corporate commercial matters. He recently completed his tenure as Chair and CEO of the PEI Regulatory and Appeals Commission and has chaired all of the province's electricity hearings since 2014, alongside extensive experience in administrative, planning, and municipal law. Scott earned a B.B.A. and an LL.B. from Dalhousie University and was called to the bar of Prince Edward Island in 1982, later being appointed King's Counsel in 2001. He sits on the Hearing Committee of the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization and the Medical Staff Review Panel for Health PEI, and has been listed in Best Lawyers in Canada and the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory.
