About J.

J. David Watson is counsel to and a founding member of the firm. Over more than 30 years he has represented trade unions, trust funds, associations and individuals before arbitrators and boards of arbitration, labour relations boards, the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board's Appeals Tribunal, as well as before the courts in civil and criminal matters. His work in labour, employment and human rights law has earned him consistent recognition in the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory. More recently he has moved into alternative dispute resolution, mediating hundreds of statutory accident benefits claims for the Licence Appeal Tribunal. David holds a B.A. from McMaster University and an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School, and belongs to the Ontario Bar Association, the Advocates' Society and the Canadian Bar Association.
