About Israel
Israel was a founding partner of Taylor Jordan Chafetz, which joined Harris & Company in December 2014. Over a 35-year career he has advised employers on statutory and collective agreement obligations and appeared before labour boards, tribunals, and provincial and federal courts across several jurisdictions, in sectors including retail food, food processing, maritime, transportation, and publishing. He has taught at UBC's Faculty of Commerce and is a published author, having won the Advocate short story contest more than once.
