About Israel

Israel Apter is a family law litigator who also takes a resolution-focused approach, working toward settlement for clients through negotiation, mediation or arbitration where appropriate. He has presented at the Mandatory Information Program at the Newmarket Court since 2010 and also serves as a parenting coordinator and arbitrator. Israel earned his Juris Doctor from Queen's University in 2009, having majored in political science at York University beforehand, and he was called to the Ontario Bar in 2010. His work spans divorce and separation matters, decisions about parenting, spousal and child support calculations, dividing family property, and formal mediation or arbitration proceedings, and he also coordinates parenting plans.
