The Honourable Michael J. Bryant is Counsel at Fogler Rubinoff, practising in Indigenous law, public law, governance and complex litigation strategy. As Ontario's 35th Attorney General, he oversaw a ministry of a thousand prosecutors, appointed 69 judges and led reforms to human rights and police accountability. As Minister of Aboriginal Affairs, he negotiated a gaming revenue-sharing agreement worth more than $2 billion with Ontario First Nations, and he later served as Chief Negotiator for the Chippewas of Kettle and Stony Point First Nation on the Ipperwash settlement. He also led the Canadian Civil Liberties Association and served as CEO of Legal Aid BC. He holds degrees from the University of British Columbia, an LLM from Harvard Law School as a Fulbright Fellow, and a J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School, and was called to the Ontario bar in 1996 and the British Columbia bar in 2022.
