About Golnaz
Golnaz Nayerahmadi is a partner whose litigation practice centers on class actions and other complex multi-plaintiff proceedings. She has acted for clients in cases touching on Crown liability, institutional abuse, professional liability, pharmaceutical and product claims, mass torts, securities misrepresentation, and consumer protection, appearing across every level of court in both Ontario and Quebec, in addition to the Supreme Court of Canada. She devotes significant time to pro bono work, partnering with the Innocence Project on wrongful conviction cases, including a matter that established a new Charter-based duty around post-conviction disclosure. Golnaz co-wrote a textbook on Canadian class actions and chairs the Ontario Bar Association's Class Action Executive. Chambers & Partners and Lexpert have both ranked her in the class action field. Before joining the firm, she clerked at the Superior Court of Justice in Toronto and interned with the Canadian Civil Liberties Association. She holds a joint common law and civil law degree from McGill University and was called to the Ontario bar in 2015.
