About Annelis
Annelis Thorsen-Cavers is a partner at Rochon Genova who has focused on class action litigation since joining the firm in 2002, with particular attention to pharmaceutical and medical device disputes. She has worked on a string of notable class actions, including cases involving diet drugs, Baycol, Prepulsid, Serzone, contaminated meat, Bextra and Celebrex, Vioxx, and defective defibrillators. Annelis is a co-author of a book on the emotional consequences of personal injury. She earned her BA with honours in Social Development Studies from the University of Waterloo in 1994 and her LLB from the University of Windsor in 1997, and was part of a team that finished runner-up in the Arnup Cup, a trial advocacy moot competition. She was called to the Ontario bar in 1999 and practices in both English and French.
