About Glen
Glen M. Hickerson, K.C. has helped individuals and businesses resolve disputes since 1994, appearing as counsel in all levels of Alberta courts as well as at arbitrations and mediations, with extensive experience in construction, employment, and debtor-creditor disputes. He acts as a mediator in estate disputes and is often called upon to coach clients in conflict resolution, favouring a practical approach that avoids unnecessary legalese. Glen has published papers on mediation and family law issues, including in the Harvard Law School Negotiation Journal, and has taught the Alberta Bar Admission Course and presented to the Canadian Bar Association's Litigation Section. He earned his BA (Hons) cum laude from the University of Manitoba in 1989, his LLB from the same school in 1993, and a Master of Laws and Certificate in Negotiation from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2015, and was called to the Alberta bar in 1994, receiving his Queen's Counsel appointment in 2020. Glen volunteers as a peer mentor with Alberta Lawyers Assist and is a resource lawyer for the University of Calgary's Student Legal Assistance Clinic.
