About Giovanni
Giovanni C. Giuga practises exclusively in SV Law's Municipal, Planning and Land Development group, acting for homeowners, businesses, developers and farmers navigating Ontario's planning framework. His work covers building code matters, easements, land acquisitions, development charges, affordable housing compliance and various Planning Act processes such as minor variances and zoning by-law amendments. Giovanni also represents municipalities on by-laws, site plan and subdivision agreements, and infrastructure financing, and has appeared before the Ontario Land Tribunal and Ontario Court of Justice. He teaches a course on municipal law and politics at Wilfrid Laurier University and has published in several legal journals. Giovanni was called to the bar in 2023 after earning his JD from the University of Ottawa in 2022, along with a graduate degree from McGill University and an undergraduate degree from Wilfrid Laurier University.
