About George
George van Hoogenhuize has practised family law since 1988. He acts on behalf of the Ministry of the Attorney General's Office of the Children's Lawyer. He has taken on a number of leadership positions over the years, having served as Vice-President of the Newmarket and District Association for Community Living, chaired the Legal Aid Area Committee, and co-chaired both the Unified Family Court Implementation Committee and the Local Courts Management Advisory Committee. Today he chairs the Family Law Committee of the York Region Bar Association and sits on the Superior Court's Family Court Liaison and Community Resource Committees. He holds a B.A. and an LL.B.
