David McLennan earned his law degree from the University of Western Ontario and, after articling at a large Bay Street firm, founded his own practice in Newmarket in 1991. He joined McChesney Rogers, a predecessor firm of Hill Hunter Losell, as a partner in 1996, and became a founding partner of Hill Hunter Losell Law Firm, now HHL Law Firm, in 1999. His practice is restricted to estate planning and administration, including wills, trusts and powers of attorney, and real estate law. David has drafted and implemented numerous inter vivos and testamentary trusts, including Henson trusts for clients planning for disabled beneficiaries, and regularly acts for executors and administrators of estates. His real estate work serves individual, corporate and not-for-profit clients on commercial and residential acquisitions and financings, and he advocates using title insurance in real estate transactions. David is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and a past director of the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Foundation and the Alzheimer Society of York Region, and he co-chaired the Newmarket Mayor's Charity Golf Classic for twelve years.
