Gary Marshall works with emerging growth companies at every stage, along with the venture capital firms, strategic investors and investment banks that back them. He counsels founders and investors on incorporation, equity incentive plans, convertible note and preferred share financings, securities compliance, governance, public offerings and M&A. His client base sits mainly in software, technology, cleantech, life sciences, consumer products and digital media and entertainment. Before Osler, Marshall worked at a Silicon Valley firm advising emerging companies and venture investors, and at a London-based venture capital and private equity firm. He earned a J.D. and an M.B.A. from UCLA and a Bachelor of Arts from Stanford University, where he swam on the U.S. national team and won national and NCAA breaststroke titles.
