About Gale

Gale Rubenstein serves as counsel in Goodmans' Restructuring Group. Her career has centered on commercial insolvency, corporate restructuring, pensions, and regulatory matters, and she has played a key role in some of the country's largest restructurings. These include serving as lead insolvency counsel to the Investors Committee addressing Asset Backed Commercial Paper and Nortel Networks, and advising the Province of Ontario on the restructurings of Chrysler, General Motors, US Steel Canada, Algoma Steel, and Laurentian University. Gale is an experienced board member, currently chairing the Board of Trustees of the University Pension Plan and sitting on the boards of Algoma Steel Group Inc. and the Scarborough Health Network, and she previously spent over a decade on Hydro One's board. She has received the Ontario Bar Association's Award for Excellence in Insolvency Law and holds the title of Fellow of the Insolvency Institute of Canada.
