Francisco Torres is a Founding Partner at Tower LLP who was called to the Alberta Bar in 2013. He maintains a civil litigation practice representing clients in business disputes, construction and lien matters, and appeals, and has appeared before the Court of Appeal, Court of King's Bench, Federal Court, Federal Court of Appeal, Provincial Court, and the Alberta Securities Commission, as well as in mediations and arbitrations. He also advises on business structuring, unanimous shareholder agreements, mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracts, and leasing matters, drawing on his litigation background to inform his approach to corporate transactions. Francisco's practice extends across Canada, the United States, the Caribbean, and Latin America, including due diligence, fraud detection, and international arbitration matters. He holds an LL.B. (Common Law) and a B.C.L. (Civil Law) from McGill University and BA degrees in Economics and International Relations, both with honours, from the University of Calgary, and is fluent in Spanish and French.
