About Fatima

Fatima Zulfiqar immigrated to Canada in 2002 and has lived in Alberta since. Before practising law she worked as a legislative researcher for the Alberta government. She joined Oakley Family Law as a legal assistant in 2023, then became an articling student, and completed her National Committee of Accreditation qualification through the Federation of Law Societies of Canada in 2025 to become eligible to practise law in Canada. She holds a law degree from the University of Southampton and a Bachelor of Arts from Mount Royal University, majoring in Policy Studies and Sociology. Her academic honours include the Jason Lang Scholarship, Dean's List recognition at Mount Royal University, and the Bunny McClintock Memorial Bursary. She is a member of the Law Society of Alberta.
