About Cindy

Cindy Marshall, KC was called to the Manitoba Bar in 2003 and the Alberta Bar in 2004, and received her King's Counsel designation in 2022. She earned her Baccalaureat en Droit (LLB) through the French Common Law Program at l'Universite de Moncton in 2002. She is a family lawyer and mediator with particular experience in child protection and family violence matters, and has served as counsel for Alberta Justice on child protection matters and for the Director of Maintenance Enforcement. Outside law, she competed as a brakewoman for Canada's women's bobsleigh team from 2004 to 2009 and was an alternate for the 2006 Turin Olympic Games. She received the 2024 Women in Law Leadership Award.
