About Evelyn
Evelyn Ackah is a senior corporate immigration lawyer with close to twenty years of experience advising multinational and cross-border businesses on Canadian immigration law. At Caravel Law she helps clients navigate immigration rules to meet their goals, developing employer policies for executive transfers and new hires and preparing applications for labour market opinions, work permits, permanent residence, citizenship, study permits and visitor records. She also coordinates global immigration matters, including resolving passport and visa issues and corresponding with immigration offices, embassies, high commissions and consulates in Canada, the U.S. and elsewhere. Earlier in her career she worked at Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP, Gowling Lafleur Henderson LLP, and Egan LLP, which was affiliated with Ernst & Young LLP. She earned her LL.B. from the University of British Columbia in 1997 and her B.A. from Simon Fraser University in 1993, and she is the founder and managing lawyer of Ackah Business Immigration Law, in association with Caravel Law.
