About Heather

Heather practises exclusively in family law and is recognized as a leader in the field, focusing on negotiated resolutions of complicated property and support matters. She has extensive dispute resolution training, including as a mediator and collaborative law lawyer, and years of litigation experience with a long list of reported decisions. She received her law degree from the University of Calgary in 1983 and was appointed Queen's Counsel (now King's Counsel) in 2002. She has been included in The Best Lawyers in Canada annually since 2006 for family law, has chaired both the provincial and national family law sections of the Canadian Bar Association, and sits on the advisory board for Level, a charity working to advance access to justice.
