About Eric
Eric Pentland is an associate at TLE Law working primarily on Treaty rights claims, self-governance, and election appeals. He is part of the firm's Treaty rights negotiation and litigation teams, drafting claims for the Specific Claims Branch and litigating before the Specific Claims Tribunal and Federal Courts, and has made written submissions to the Supreme Court of Canada. He teaches Law 590: Indigenous Peoples and the Law as a sessional instructor at the University of Alberta Faculty of Law. He earned a Master of Laws focused on Aboriginal law in 2021, a Juris Doctor with distinction in 2016, and a Bachelor of Arts with distinction in 2009, all from the University of Alberta, and was called to the bar in 2018.
